Who Should Attend: This is a "must attend" event for individuals requiring up-to-date information for the operation of municipal and industrial drinking water and wastewater systems and labs. The training provided will target drinking water and wastewater treatment, collection, and distribution system operators, lab analyst and engineers.
The 60th Annual Water & Wastewater Operators Conference program has been approved by the Kentucky and Ohio and is currently under review by the Indiana regulatory authorities. Training hours earned during the Conference will be provided to the regulatory authority designated by the certified operator.
Lab Analyst - It is our understanding that US EPA will be holding a webinar from 9:00 - 4:00 on April 12th, 2017 regarding the UCMR4 Rule. We haved contacted US EPA to obtain the agenda for this class. If possible, we are going to identify the most pertinent parts of the agenda and may try and join in the webinar. If so, the Lab Series to be held on April 12th will be altered to accomodate a portion of the webinar. If and when we obtain this information, we will post a revised schedule for this series.
What Can the Conference Attendee Expect:
- Access to over 70 technical sessions,
- Ability to earn up to 18 hours of continuing education hours for license renewal purposes. The technical program will be posted on this page upon submittal to the regulatory agencies referenced above,
- Networking opportunities, and
- Access to vendor information.
What Is The Attendee Registration Rate*:
Rate thru Feb. 28, 2017 - Members - $175 Nonmembers - $215
Rate on March 1, 2017 - Members - $225 Nonmembers - $265
What can Exhibitors Expect:
- An opportunity to interact with a large number of water and wastewater professionals/clients, in a short amount of time. The central mechanism for doing this is by purchasing, at a very low price, an exhibit booth for the Exhibit Show to be held April 10 & 11th.
- Exhibit/Provide information on new and existing products/services,
- The ability to showcase your staff's technical knowledge through participation in the 3-day training program. What is the Vendor Booth Rate*:
Rate thru Feb. 28, 2017 - One booth - $600.00
Rate on March 1, 2017 - $650.00
Each booth includes pipe & drape, a table, two chairs, signage (company name & booth number) and waste basket. There is carpet in the Exhibit Hall and hallway. If you need additional furnishings for your booth, to ship in items and/or need assistance unloading heavy equipment, these services may be purchased from our pipe & drape company, Excel Decorators. Conference Hotel & Reservations:
The Conference is being held at the Crowne Plaza, located at 830 Phillips Lane, Louisville. The room rate of $125.00 within our room block expired March 21, 2017 and is no longer available. Reservations can still be made by calling 1-888-233-9527 or selecting the link below. There is no fee for parking and the room rate includes high speed wireless, and complimentary access to the fitness room, indoor pool and business center. Check in for the hotel is 3:00 PM and check out is 11:00 AM.
The Springhill Suite Marriott Louisville Airport. 820 Phillips Lane (across the Crowne Parking lot), Louisville, is also offering rooms for the KWWOA Conference. The rates are $119.00 for a King Suite or $129.00 plus tax for a suite with two double beds from April 9-14, 2017. You may make a reservation by callings 502-361-9009. If you want to attend the Wastewater or Surface Water Treatment operator certification training and testing, register through the Kentucky Division of Compliance Assistance (DCA). Even though you register through DCA, you will receive a partial registration to attend KWWOA sponsored events during the Conference.
*Conference registration fees will not be refunded after March 9, 2017 for cancellations.
